Who we are

Sell My Coach is run by Don't Travel Empty Ltd, a UK company. We operate this marketplace so coach, bus and minibus operators can buy and sell vehicles. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].

What we collect, and why

• If you sell: your name, email, phone number, company name and your vehicle's details — so we can run your adverts and put buyers in touch with you. Your vehicle's postcode is used to work out its location for distance searches; we only ever show the town and county publicly.
• If you enquire about a vehicle: your name, email, phone (if you give it) and your message — which we pass to that seller so they can respond to you directly. That's the whole point of an enquiry, but it does mean the seller has your contact details.
• If you opt into vehicle alerts: your email and what you're looking for. Only after you confirm by clicking the link we send you, and you can unsubscribe from any email, any time.
• Payments: handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your card number.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't send you marketing you didn't ask for. We don't use advertising trackers on this site.

How long we keep things

Enquiries are kept for 2 years, then deleted. If you delete your account, your personal details are removed straight away. Expired adverts are kept so you can relist quickly.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll sort it. If you're not happy with how we've handled something, you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

Some cookies are essential — they keep you logged in and keep the site secure, and we can't switch those off. We'd also like to use Google Analytics to see which pages people actually use, so we can improve the site. Those analytics cookies are only set if you agree.

We ask when you first visit, and we don't assume a yes. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookies link at the bottom of any page. Saying no doesn't limit anything on the site.

Who else is involved

We use a small number of services to run the site: hosting (Google Cloud), email delivery, payments (Stripe), and — only with your agreement — Google Analytics. They process data for us under contract, and only what's needed to do their job.
